Jeff Bezos reported Dolly Parton as the most recent beneficiary of his Courage and Civility award. Bezos will give the artist $100 million to donate to charities fitting her personal preference. He said that Parton “gives with her heart” and applauded her work on youngsters’ literacy.

Bezos, the world’s second richest individual, tweeted a video clip on Saturday from the awards ceremony. He wrote in the subtitle: “We’ve recently reported another Courage and Civility award beneficiary @DollyParton, who leads with her heart, and will put this $100 million award to great use helping countless individuals. She joins earlier awardees, @VanJones68, and @Chefjoseandres. Well done, Dolly!”
In the clip, Lauren Sanchez, Bezos’ accomplice, said that the award “recognizes leaders who aim high, find solutions, and always do it with civility.” Bezos depicted the country vocalist as somebody who “epitomizes these standards” and an individual who “gives with her heart.”
He added: “How she’s helped children and literacy, and such countless different things, is simply mind-boggling.”
In the video taken at the awards function, Parton said: “When individuals are in a position to help, you ought to help.
